Pizza-FamilY Story
Pizza-FamilY was founded by the team behind Vīnkalni Pizzeria after 18 years of hands-on experience in the pizza business. Vīnkalni operates four stationary pizza restaurants and three mobile pizza vans, providing real-world insight into what makes a great pizza oven and what is needed to enhance both business operations and customer experience.
Driven by family values and deep industry knowledge, we are building the future of pizza innovation from the ground up.

We are building a product that works for our own seven pizza restaurants and for our potential B2B customers across Europe. The product has to perform, last, and bring joy every day while thousands of tasty pizzas are being cooked. Our ovens are machined and hand-crafted with the highest precision and care, so you can taste our passion for what we do in every single pizza slice.

We work with the best possible materials available — steel, stone, insulation, wood, fixtures, electronics, and more.
Details
Attention to detail is everything to us, down to a hundredth of a millimeter. Everything has to align perfectly to ensure the pizza-making process is smooth and enjoyable.
Data
Eventually, all analogue monitoring will be replaced by digital solutions, allowing businesses to gather, view, and control various data points such as temperature, CO₂ levels, humidity, burned wood volume, and more.
Technology
An integrated video camera with AI and a touchscreen display allow end customers to watch their pizza being cooked LIVE on their screens, while enabling our B2B customers to gather valuable performance data.

Founder / CEO
Artis Žentiņš
A former professional BMX athlete whose passion for adventure continues through coaching and leading youth summer camps. With more than 18 years of experience in the HoReCa industry and deep expertise in Italian cuisine, particularly pizza, he has developed his craft through direct mentorship and hands-on learning from master pizzaiolos in Italy. As the founder behind the Vīnkalni pizza brand, he has successfully grown the business into four restaurants and three mobile pizza vans. For Artis, the sky is never the limit — he continuously pursues new ideas, investments, and opportunities for growth.
CTO / Designer
Aigars Lauzis
With over 20 years of experience in design, prototyping, and entrepreneurship, he combines product innovation with an adventurous spirit. Having lived and worked in London, Istanbul, Dubai, Singapore, Shanghai, and Latvia, his global experience shapes a unique approach to building products and ideas. Among his achievements are cycling more than 30,000 km from London to Tokyo and creating products such as BeTRITON, the world’s amphibious camper bike.
